Secrets Of Learning Stage Hypnosis
The difficulty in learning stage hypnosis is having a fundamental understanding and grasp of the more basic of hypnotic principles. You see, a stage hypnotist isn’t just your ordinary street hypnosis practitioner, he or she is rather somebody who has practiced extensively in all forms of hypnosis, including hypnotherapy, and knows the best ways to utilize each form.
It is not uncommon for a stage hypnotist to also incorporate certain elements of mentalism or mind magic in his or her performances, in order to add that extra element of deepening and belief of the audience that the stage hypnotist is truly pulling off spectacular feats, which of course they would be.
The greater our understanding of hypnosis, the easier the process of learning stage hypnosis becomes, since hypnosis is quite a universal concept to do with the human mind. One aspect of hypnosis that may be frequently overlooked is that of covert hypnosis, the ability to hypnotize other people subtly, perhaps even without them being aware of it.
This is part of a stage hypnotist’s job, to hypnotize other people and have them do spectacular and entertaining feats in front of an audience in order to cause shock and awe. This is best achieved through studying the core principles of hypnosis, and then going on to apply them in a practical setting.
Now you may think that stage hypnosis is something that can’t quite be explained. How could random members of the audience possibly be picked out from a crowd and made to do so many fascinating things, with so little preconditioning? The answer is that the people in the audience who are selected to come up on stage aren’t really random. Now this isn’t to say that they’re been prescreened or are stooges, this is not the case at all, rather these people have had an ever watchful eye on them by the stage hypnotist from the moment they came to the show.
You see in stage hypnosis, only a certain percentage of people are naturally easily hypnotized. Selecting the right members of the audience as opposed to the wrong ones is a crucial aspect of stage hypnosis, and one that can’t go wrong. For this reason, the stage hypnotist conducts a number of hypnotic techniques for the entire crowd. He observes members of the audience and sees which ones are more receptive to his suggestions, and which ones aren’t as receptive. He then makes that determination that those that are the more receptive should be picked to come up on stage should they volunteer.
So you see, if you as the stage hypnotist ask for a volunteer, and you get let’s say twenty people raising their hand, and you’ve kept a close eye on about five of them and noticed that two of them did actually enter into hypnosis when you were doing your earlier hypnotic exercises, then those are the two people you will be picking as volunteers. So the process isn’t random at all, even though to the remaining audience it may seem perfectly random.
So whether you’re planning on learning stage hypnosis to become a master hypnotist that everyone admires, or rather an entertaining that hopes to make a living from his or her techniques, then stage hypnosis is definitely a field you’d be interested in learning. However do keep in mind that the techniques taught in stage hypnosis are not light, and it will take a fair bit of practice before they work for you.
